Generally speaking, the base of a traditional light pole has seams and the inside of the base is not powder coated or enamel finished. That’s where salt and moisture in the air gets in and corrosion begins. At TerraCast®, we know that you can’t always go on a replacing spree just because you found a superior product. Like cell phones, you have to wait until it makes sense to invest in the new model. That’s why we offer a line of resin pole bases.

Our resin lamppost base affixes easily to your existing light pole to protect the vulnerable spots at the bottom, where moisture seeps in, creating an entry point for corrosion. Our two-piece light pole bases can easily affix to your current light pole to protect the metal pole and base. Though not designed to reverse the effects of corrosion, our bases are excellent at eliminating additional entry points.

Light Pole Base Styles
We offer two primary styles of light pole base covers to meet a variety of installation needs: the two-piece light pole base (also known as a clamshell base) and the one-piece light pole base (drop-over style).
Two-Piece Light Pole Base (Clamshell Style)
Our two-piece light pole base cover is designed to open on a hinge and wrap around the bottom of your existing light pole. This clamshell-style decorative light pole base shroud is made from durable resin and secures shut with a threaded locking mechanism. Ideal for both new and retrofit projects, this two-piece decorative light pole base allows for quick installation and easy access for maintenance—no need to remove the pole or fixture.
One-Piece Light Pole Base (Drop-Over Style)
The one-piece light pole base cover is a drop-over design that slides over the top of the pole. To install this one-piece decorative light pole base, simply remove the luminaire, finial, or sign from the top of the pole, lower the base cover into position, and reinstall the fixture. This style is perfect for new installations or situations where the pole top components can be easily accessed.
